Categories & Age Group Competitions

For your correct travel and accommodation arrangements note carefully the below tournament games starting & ending (finals) dates per different age group which will be finalized upon team registrations completion.

Arrival and departure for foreign teams should be a day prior to the starting date and a day after the finals day as described below.

TOURNAMENT UPGRADE TO:

GRASSROOTS EDITION - SATURDAY 27 APRIL TILL WEDNESDAY 1 MAY
(AGE GROUPS 2011/2012/2013 9 VS 9, 2014/2015 7 VS 7, 2016/2017/2018 5 VS 5)

GIRLS EDITION - SUNDAY 28 TILL TUESDAY 30 APRIL
(AGE GROUPS U18, U15, U13, U10)

YOUTH (TEENS) EDITION - FRIDAY 10 TILL SUNDAY 12 MAY
(11 VS 11 AGE GROUPS 2007/2008/2009/2010/2011). Under Cyprus F.A. Association rules, in the age groups 11 vs 11, teams can make use of only one player per game of only 1 year of older age. This rule is not valid for boys Grassroots age groups competitions.

BOYS AGE GROUPS

Unlimited number of girls can join in the boys’ teams / girls can be up to 1 year over aged. With regards to age groups bear in mind that for next year age groups to be hosted (January 1st to December 31st) will be as follows:

GRASSROOTS EDITION (9 VS 9 / 7 VS 7 / 5 VS 5) - SATURDAY 27 APRIL TILL WEDNESDAY 1 MAY
Arrival prior and departure after the above starting and ending dates.

CATEGORY Α EAGLES (unlimited number of team participation)

CATEGORY Β LIONS (unlimited number of team participation)

LIONS CATEGORIES (THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE)

The LIONS category relates to the participation of theoretically lower level football teams in separate tournament groups and separate games and applies to the age categories from 2012 to 2017. There will be no LIONS separate groups in age group 2011 (9 vs 9) and the younger age category of 2018. For 2011 there is also the option of 11 vs 11 edition to be held on Friday 10/05 – Sunday 12/05.

It is also forbidden for previous year lions competitions finalist teams to enter this year’s LIONS competitions, provided that they still have almost the same roster with previous year.

The same competition rules and regulations as set out in our rules & regulations publication will apply to both category competitions (Eagles & Lions).

It is strictly forbidden to use or move EAGLES players to LIONS. However, Lions players can play in Eagles groups as described above in the registration process details.
