Etiquette Code of Conduct for McDonald’s Ayia Napa Youth Soccer Festival
For Fans:
- Respect all players, coaches, referees, and spectators, regardless of team affiliation.
- Cheer for both teams in a positive and encouraging manner, avoiding derogatory or offensive language.
- Refrain from criticizing players, coaches, or officials, and instead focus on supporting and celebrating their efforts.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all, including children, by refraining from disruptive behavior or violence.
- Clean up after yourself and dispose of trash responsibly to help keep the venue clean.
For Parents & Guardians:
- Support and encourage your child and their teammates, emphasizing sportsmanship over winning.
- Respect the decisions made by coaches and officials, refraining from questioning or disputing their calls during matches.
- Avoid coaching from the sidelines and allow players to focus and learn from their experiences on the field.
- Be a positive role model by displaying good sportsmanship and respectful behavior towards all involved.
For Soccer Teams:
- Play with integrity and adhere to the rules and spirit of the game, prioritizing fair play and sportsmanship.
- Respect the opposing team, coaches, referees, and spectators, regardless of the outcome of the match.
- Shake hands with opponents and officials before and after matches, demonstrating respect and appreciation.
- Accept decisions made by officials without dispute or argument, focusing on playing the game to the best of your ability.
- Represent your team and community with pride, both on and off the field, showcasing the values of respect, teamwork, and fair competition.
General Rules for Conduct in all Areas
Littering:
- Do not leave any litter behind, including food wrappers, bottles, and other waste.
- Dispose of trash and recyclables in designated bins provided throughout the festival area. If bins are full, hold onto your trash until you find an available bin or take it with you to dispose of properly elsewhere.
Miscellaneous:
- Exercise caution and awareness of your surroundings to avoid collisions with other festival attendees.
- Refrain from running in crowded areas where it may pose a risk to others or disrupt activities.
- Be mindful of children and elderly individuals who may be present. If you see anyone who may be lost or in distress, inform a Security Guard or go to the Information Desk.
- Respect the property and facilities of the festival venue, avoiding damage or vandalism.
- Be courteous and considerate of others, refraining from disruptive or inappropriate behavior that may lessen the enjoyment of the festival for fellow attendees.
- Keep pathways and open areas clear for pedestrian traffic, avoiding obstruction or congestion.
- If participating in recreational activities such as sports or games, adhere to any specific rules or regulations provided by festival organizers and maintain a spirit of fair play and sportsmanship.
- If you notice anything or anyone acting unlawfully or causing disruption in the area, please inform a security guard promptly.
