
Refund & Cancellation Policy
1. DEFINITIONS
For the purposes of this Policy:
- “Event” refers to the McDonald’s Ayia Napa Youth Soccer Festival.
- “Organizer” refers to the official organizing committee of the Event.
- “Participant” refers to any player, team, coach, official, or accompanying individual registered for the Event.
- “Services” include, but are not limited to, participation fees, accommodation, meals, and any additional services provided by the Organizer.
2. SCOPE OF POLICY
This Refund and Cancellation Policy govern all payments made by Participants in connection with the Event and applies to registration fees, accommodation packages, and any related services booked through the Organizer.
3. REGISTRATION FEES
3.1 All Players individual registration fees paid for participation in the Event are non-refundable.
3.2 No exceptions shall apply, including but not limited to:
- Injury or illness
- Travel disruptions or visa issues
- Personal or organizational circumstances
- Force majeure events affecting individual Participants
4. ACCOMMODATION AND MEAL PACKAGES
4.1 Participants from abroad, such as teams, players, coaches and staff, delegation members and parents, referees, and volunteers are required to book official accommodation and meal packages through the Organizer, where applicable.
4.2 Payment terms are as follows:
- A non-refundable deposit of thirty percent (30%) of the total amount is required for official hotel package booking and confirmation no later than fifty (50) days prior to the Event.
- The remaining balance (100%) must be paid and shown in our account no later than ten (10) days prior to the Event.
5. CANCELLATION TERMS
5.1 In the event of cancellation by a Participant:
- If cancellation occurs within fifty (50) days prior to the Event, the Participant shall be liable for one hundred percent (100%) of the total cost of all booked Services.
5.2 All amounts paid shall be deemed non-refundable beyond this deadline.
6. NO-SHOWS AND UNUSED SERVICES
6.1 No refunds shall be issued in the event of:
- Failure to attend the Event (no-show)
- Late arrival or early departure
- Non-use of any booked Services, including accommodation, meals, or transport
6.2 All booked Services are considered consumed once the Event period has commenced.
7. FORCE MAJEURE
7.1 The Organizer shall not be held liable for failure to perform its obligations where such failure is caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters
- Weather & Atmospheric Conditions
- Acts and decisions of government
- War, civil unrest, or pandemics
7.2 In such cases, refunds shall not be guaranteed and shall be subject to the Organizer’s sole discretion.
8. ORGANIZER’S RIGHTS
8.1 The Organizer reserves the right to:
- Amend the Event schedule, format, or location where necessary
- Modify this Policy at any time prior to the Event
- Enforce all payment and cancellation provisions contained herein
9. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
9.1 By registering for and/or participating in the Event, the Participant acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by this Refund and Cancellation Policy.
9.2 This Policy forms an integral part of the overall Event Terms and Conditions.
10. GOVERNING LAW
This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Any disputes arising in connection with this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Cypriot courts.
